What makes a speech good

Speeches are good when you have strong points, but you dont want to get into too much detail. this could either lead you away from your topic and focus on smaller details than the more important ones, or it can bore your audience and get them less interested. if you get involved and show emotion or feel strongly about your topic, show it. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself or whatever topic your discussing. A speech can be stronger if not only its your opinion, but if i has to do with you. I read a speech on gay rights. It means alot to me that they allowed in all states, because they should be. This topic matters not only to me but to alot of people who havent made big enough acctions to get laws against the gay and lesbian community changed.... To Be Continued

Princess Bride Movie Review

Princess Bride is a movie directed by Rob Reiner, starring Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Robin Wright Penn, Andre the Giant, and Wallace Shawn. This story is a classic fairytale with sword fighting, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and of course her prince charming. This movie is great for all ages and funny to everyone too. In my opinion, I could watch the movie over and over again. It was, and still is one of my favorite childhood movies that still appeals to me as a young adult now. The story is a classic tale of love and adventure as the beautiful Buttercup is kidnapped and held against her will in order to marry the odious Prince Humperdinck, and Westley, Buttercups childhood boyfriend who returns as the Dread Pirate Roberts, attempts to save her. On the way he meets an accomplished swordsman and a huge, super strong giant, both of whom become his companions in his quest. They meet a few bad guys along the way to rescue Buttercup. The actors and actress in Princess Bride do a wonderful job as the characters they play. Mandy Patinkin is my favorite actor in this movie. He is a Spanish sword fighter who wants to avenge his fathers death by hunting down the man that killed his father. When he finally finds him it is moving and emotionally to finally see him succeed his life long mission. The music in the movie went along with the scenes very well, like when there was a happy part the music would be uplifting, the same goes for sad or dark parts. Overall since this movie is one of my favorite I would give it 5 stars. I recommend this movie to people of all ages, and you should sit the whole family down with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy this classic fairytale.

Movie review

The movie Open Season produced by was a hilarious animated comedy the whole family can enjoy. The characters this movie revolves around are Boog [Martin Lawrence], Elliot [Ashton Kutcher], Beth [Debra Messing], and Shaw [Gary Sinise]. The story takes place in Timberline a rural town with deep and open woods behind it. The woods are perfect for hunting season which is approaching. Boog is a large grizzly bear who lives with a girl named Beth. Beth is a human who owns Boog and keeps him in the garage because its big enough. Together they do shows to entertain the town and all who come to see. When Boog gets too big he has to be released into the wild. However before he gets released he encounters and befriends a small buck named Elliot, together they get into trouble and get released. They must be released and they work as a team to find their way back to Boog’s house. They only have dilemma with their plan; hunting season just started and crazy hunter Shaw is out to get them. The music that was selected for the scenes in Open Season were well chosen. For instance, when there was a sad part in the movie, the music would be sad; same goes for happy scenes. When Elliot and Boog first met and broke into the store, the music was happy and upbeat because they were having fun. After the dam collapsed and Boog got mad at Elliot, he left him. This made both if not all the characters saddened by the separation, which caused the music to become sad to enhance the mood. The editing of the movie was also done nicely. Each scene flowed together well, and they all made sense; there weren’t any scenes out of place or random scenes that didn’t go. Overall the movie was a great show, perfect for families and kids of all ages. I would give it five stars and recommend everyone to see it.

DC,

I'm sorry. I bet your tired of me saying this, but I am. I miss you. From the moment i met you and from each day that followed and you held me in your arms; I was in love. I cant reverse what I've done, but everyday I was I never even did it. Its hard for me to see you walk right past me in the halls and not say a word to me. It hurts. I know I hurt you in the past, I made a stupid mistake and it hurt us both. I know you dont want to talk to me and I know I'll never get you back but just know this: if you ever liked me or still do, or even fell like I did, you would understand, recognize, and forgive my mistakes. I want you back. From the day I met you and you became a close friend I've wanted to hold you close and never let go. I never realized that I wasn't the one who was going to let go; it was you.
I'm sorry... again....

please tell me its ok
i know i was wrong and i realize this now
please hold me in your arms
please kiss me softly
just like you used to
you know i love you
and i want you back
i miss you
please tell me you miss me too

How To Make A Human Sundae

If your hungry for an ice cream sundae
But don’t have any ice cream
Grab a partner
You’ll need a few other things as well
Whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and cherries are necessities
Lie them down on any flat surface preferably a table
All you have to do is remove the shirt of human
Swirl the chocolate sauce over the body’s surface
Beautiful designs before devoured
The whipped cream will go on top of that in whatever manner you desire
In a pattern or all over
Now is the time to put on the décor
And top it with a delicate cherry
Let them enjoy a cherry of their own and give them a kiss
Now you may
Consume your human sundae

Found

Scrumpcious little fishies
delicate and blood red
being ripped apart by people of all ages

Into your arms

Sitting on the back of your car
Enjoying the sound of your voice
I love the way you say my name
In that moment I think I fell for you
I climbed in the car and sat in the passenger seat
And you came over and stood in front of me
We texted back and forth
I told you I had a secret
Something that I needed not only to tell you but do
I wanted to pull you in the car with me
But I was too afraid
I'm falling in love

but its falling apart
I need to find my way back to the start
When we were in love things were better than they are
Let me back into your arms

I Love You

I'm sorry for the pain that I've caused you
I never meant to lead you on that way
I was just afraid of what you would say
but now I know the truth, I love you

Types of Poetry

Blank Verse
-unrhymed iambic pentameter

-Shakespeare wrote most of his plays in blank verse

Epigram
-very short, satirical and witty poem
-brief couplet or quatrain
-derived from the Greek word 'epigramma' meaning inscription
-cultivated in the late sixteenth and seventeenth centuries by poets like Ben Jonson and John Donne who wrote twenty-one English epigrams
An example:
A Lame Begger by John Donne
I am unable, yonder beggar cries,
To stand, or move; if he say true, he lies
Romanticism
-nature and love were a major themes
-favoured by 18th and 19th century poets
-emphasis in such poetry is placed on the personal experiences of the individual.
An example:
The Question by Percy Bysshe Shelley
I dreamed that, as I wandered by the way,
Bare Winter suddenly was changed to Spring,
And gentle odours led my steps astray,
Mixed with a sound of waters murmuring

Just a Crush

A cute brown-haired boy
With an amazing smile,
First was a classmate.
Talking to him once
Lead to talking all the time,
We became so close.
He gave me a hug
And I became addicted,
Needing so much more.
I got a small crush
And I know that he did too,
He is just so nice.
We hung out at school
And we made paper snowflakes,
It was his first time.
People say we’re cute
And I want to make a move,
But I’m too afraid.
Is this just a crush?
Or is it something much more?
What am I to do?

Vampire

From miles away you could hear her scream
no one really knew what was going on
some thought it was just a really bad dream
it was quite possible that she was gone
everyone in town looked all over
people assumed that maybe she was killed
her twin had a tatoo of a clover
they looked for her and found her so thrilled
they realized that she was so suspicious
she said she killed her is she a lier?
she addmitted her blood was delicious
is it possible she was a vampire?
they tried to lock her away forever
however she was much more clever
